Cosmetic Dentistry

The Art of Dentistry provides a wide range of cosmetic procedures to improve the aesthetics and functionality of your teeth and gums. Dr. Wych is educated on the latest and most advanced treatments available, offering fast-braces, Invisalign, dental veneers, dental crowns, bonding, and more. The Art of Dentistry also uses Envision Smile, a software that can produce a realistic depiction of the results you will see after undergoing a particular procedure. This technology can help you decide what procedure is right for you, letting you virtually “test-drive” your smile beforehand. Dr. Wych’s expert cosmetic dentistry can also be combined with sedation techniques to take the stress out of repairing your smile.

Sedation Dentistry

Some people avoid going to the dentist for years and years because of bad experiences they have had with dentistry in the past. These patients are special cases who may benefit from sedation dentistry. Through the sedation dentistry methods that The Art of Dentistry offers, patient can relax while going through procedures, usually not able to remember the procedure at all afterwards. This type of sedation is called oral conscious sedation and doesn’t use any IVs or needles, just small tablets that dissolve under your tongue. For those who are apprehensive about going to the dentist, this is the solution for stress-free dentistry.

Invisalign Clear Braces—Straighter teeth for a confident smile

With over 25 years in practice, Dr. Wych is one of the most well regarded and respected cosmetic and general dentists in the region. Dr. Wych has been an Invisalign Preferred Provider for the last six years. He uses the Invisalign system to give his patients the smiles they want without the hassle, discomfort and appearance of metal braces. The Invisalign system straightens the teeth using a series of clear, custom, removable aligners. Each aligner gradually shifts your teeth until they are straight and aligned correctly. Dr. Wych will give you the smile you want without metal braces.

Fast Braces - Straight teeth in less time

Since they were created in 1992 as an alternative to traditional braces, thousands of people have used Fastbraces® to get straighter, healthier smiles. Fastbraces® move teeth roots and crowns at the same time. As a result, most people can see success with Fastbraces® in about a year. Dr. Wych is proud to offer Fastbraces to his patients.

Dental Restoration - Rejuvenate your smile

The loss of one or more permanent teeth, due to trauma or decay, is increasingly common. Dental implants offer a permanent solution.

Dental implants are commonly mistaken as transplants. There is a key difference. A transplant uses actual teeth from a donor, while implants are crafted from synthetic material. They offer a permanent solution to tooth loss by replacing missing teeth. They consist of two parts: a screw usually titanium that is placed in the jaw bone, and a false tooth placed on the screw.

It’s important for your health to replace missing teeth, as leaving gaps can lead to serious issues down the road. There are a variety of reasons that teeth can be lost. Gum disease, trauma, decay, and congenital defects are among the most common.

Crowns, Onlays & Inlays

Crowns fully cover your natural tooth, after it has suffered from significant damage or decay. Because they are large and often a very visible part of your smile, we work hard to provide you with crowns that enhance your smile, and look and feel like your natural tooth. Your permanent, natural-looking crowns are made precisely for you, to our exact specification, of the highest quality materials, at our trusted dental lab. We will make sure that it fits your smile perfectly.

Metal-Free & Mercury-free Dentistry - Safer and better looking!
Dental Implants - Secure, natural-looking and feeling replacement teeth

A dental implant is a porcelain tooth that is placed into your mouth via a titanium post and acts like your own teeth.

Dr. Wych has a great deal of experience and training in full mouth reconstruction and has completed hundreds of cases. He has completed thousands of hours of post-graduate training in prestigious advanced dental institutes and is one of the most qualified dentists in the Columbia area to guide your dental implant treatment.

Bridges - Affordable and durable replacements

A dental bridge is a device used to fill the space where a tooth has fallen out or been removed. Gaps between teeth can cause chewing problems. If even one tooth is missing, other teeth may slowly shift out of place. This changes the way your teeth fit together. A poor bite may make your jaw sore. Your teeth may become harder to clean which can lead to tooth decay and gum disease. It is important to fill gaps between teeth and a bridge is one way to accomplish that. A typical bridge consists of a filler tooth that is attached to two surrounding crowns. Once complete, this bridge structure is bonded into the mouth.

Porcelain Veneers - Achieve a natural-looking, lasting smile

A porcelain veneer is a layer of porcelain that is placed over your teeth to change your teeth’s appearance. Dr. Wych places minimal preparation veneers as well as traditional veneers.

Dr. Wych teaches other dentists how to do good veneers as a visiting faculty member of The Scottsdale Center for Advanced Dental Studies. In placing veneers so that they will last, look good as well as natural, and so that they are comfortable, it is important to understand bite issues as well as have a lot of experience in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Wych has a great deal of experience and training in both cosmetics and TMJ and a person’s bite. Along with other associations, Dr. Wych is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Dr. Wych is passionate about improving people’s smiles and has invested a lot of his time into being able to create perfect smiles

Losing your teeth can be a very depressing experience. With the teeth gone, the facial muscles tend to sag and can make you look much older, affecting your self confidence. It’s harder to eat, and more difficult to make certain sounds. Dentures can restore normalcy to your life.

Whatever the reason, Dr. Gregory Wych will do what he can to see you the same day and get you out of pain.

Root Canals

The root canal procedure is a process by which the Dentist gets deep into the tooth known as the tooth pulp. This procedure allows the tooth to be saved from extraction in most cases. The reasons for needing a root canal can be inflammation or deep infection. The root canal helps the Dentist to find the cause and treat the problem of why the soft core is infected or inflamed.

Missy – Greenville SC Missy was embarrassed by her discolored front tooth (from an old root canal treatment) and the alignment of the rest of her front teeth. We did 8 veneers and crowns on her upper front teeth and whitened the lowers.

Frances wanted a great smile. She had “sacrificed” for her kids and knew it was “her time.” She didn’t want braces, so we did veneers on her front eight teeth.

David had extreme wear on his old crowns. Several of his teeth were fractured and needed to be removed and replaced with implants. We couldn’t even see his teeth when he talked, but afterwards, he has a great smile and looks 10 years younger
